Okan awards scholarships of excellence to five Burkinabe students in partnership with Enko Education
Paris, September 9, 2019 – As part of its philanthropic policy, Okan is pleased to announce awarding excellence scholarships to 5 secondary school students in Burkina Faso, which will allow them to study at the Enko Ouaga Campus.
The Okan Excellence Scholarships embody the values shared by the Okan team and underscore Okan’s interest in quality education, which drives Africa’s development. Aware of the potential presented by many African students, Okan wants to give them the opportunity to pursue advanced studies and realize their dreams.
“We chose Enko Education because we are convinced by the quality of the education provided and the opportunities created for the students. We know that students will benefit from a personalized and advanced academic follow-up and will be accompanied individually in their university orientation”, explains Benjamin Romain, Partner at Okan. Okan Excellence Scholarships have been awarded based on strict academic, financial and motivational criteria. They will cover a portion of the tuition, in addition to other fees related to the education of these students, such as school supplies and books, university application and examination fees.
Inaugurated in 2018 in Ouagadougou, Enko Ouaga Campus is an international school that runs the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma programme, recognized and promoted by the best universities in the world. “We are happy to welcome talented students from different backgrounds. The Okan Excellence Scholarship is in line with the values of the International Baccalaureate, which trains students who will help build a better world in a spirit of mutual understanding and intercultural respect”, says Thierry Adam, Director of Enko Ouaga Campus.
