We warmly welcome you to the Enko Dakar PYP School website.
Enko Dakar PYP is the primary section of Enko Dakar, an IB accredited school and part of the Enko Education network. We offer a bilingual program (English-French).
The Primary Years Programme (PYP) is an educational framework designed for students aged 3 to 12. PYP encourages inquiry-based learning, intercultural understanding, and the development of essential skills and attitudes in young learners. It emphasizes a transdisciplinary approach to education, meaning that subjects are not taught in isolation, but are integrated to explore real-world themes and concepts. Enko Dakar PYP is bilingual and we are fortunate to have a highly bilingual teaching team.
Our goal is to get our students to enjoy the learning process and help them transfer their learning into real life, so they can serve their community. If we succeed in this, we will make a difference in the lives of our students.
Our success depends on our ability to implement an interactive learning program and encourage our students to be creative and instill a strong sense of collaboration.
I am proud of my team's unwavering determination to take our students to the next level. It is amazing how far we have come so far, and we will continue to improve.

The best place to learn!
Enko Dakar international school is proud to offer the programs of International Baccalaureate (IB) including, in middle school, that of the PEI (Middle School Education Program) / MYP (Middle year programme) and in High School, the Diploma Programme (Diploma program).
With the aim of serving our customers with the full continuum, we are officially opening our primary section as of September 2022.
Enko Dakar begins its application and authorization process to officially issue the primary school program of the International Baccalaureate from September 2022.
Program Philosophy
The educational philosophy at the heart of the International Education Program is to embrace structured inquiry as the ideal way to learn. To achieve this, each young person benefits from the caring support of their homeroom teacher and specialist teachers.
A series of transdisciplinary themes touching on various spheres of human activity serve as guides for teachers and students:
- Who are we?
Where are we in time and space?- How do we express ourselves?
- How does the world work?
- How do we organize ourselves?
- How should we share our planet?
All of these questions help develop disciplinary skills and skills in learning approaches and teaching approaches. From kindergarten to CM2, each student participates in six research modules per school year, with each project being linked to one of these transdisciplinary themes.

Teaching strategies
The student of Enko Dakar international school has access to different strategies to access knowledge and skills within disciplines, between them and beyond. Indeed, in addition to authentic research, teachers will use different teaching formulas to reach learners in order to make them autonomous in their learning.
In addition to collaborative approaches and strategies related to explicit teaching, our teachers will develop workshops that will lead to academic success for all students; whether in groups, subgroups or individually.
