Welcome to Term 2

As we begin the second term, we take a moment to reflect on the phenomenal first term we experienced. It was a period filled with learning, growth, and vibrant community engagement. Together, these elements made our first term truly memorable.

Sports Day – A Celebration of Strength and Spirit

Our Sports Day gave learners the opportunity to focus on health, physical confidence, and collaboration — three pillars of holistic growth that go beyond textbooks and classrooms. The event wasn’t just about speed or strength; it was about showing up, giving your best, and lifting one another up.

Students rotated through activities that tested agility, teamwork, and perseverance. From relay races to obstacle challenges, the energy on the field was electric. What stood out most wasn’t who won or lost — but how learners encouraged one another, respected each other’s efforts, and displayed the true spirit of sportsmanship.

🗣️ Debate Day – 14 May

On May 14, our school community gathered to witness an inspiring display of critical thinking, communication, and teamwork during our annual Debate Day. Students from across Primary, Lower Secondary, and Upper Secondary participated in structured debates, presenting their arguments with confidence and clarity.

It was wonderful to see learners using their voices to express thoughtful opinions and respond respectfully to opposing views—true 21st-century skills in action!

🌍 Africa Day – 17 May at FEIMA

Although Africa Day is officially celebrated on May 25, our school marked the occasion a bit earlier this year, on May 17, with a vibrant community event at FEIMA.

From traditional performances to cultural attire, music, and food, the celebration captured the beauty and diversity of African heritage. FEIMA’s natural charm and open space added something extra to the day—we’re starting to think it might become a regular venue for school events. Not only is it beautiful, but it’s incredibly versatile!

Our Africa Day at FEIMA was bursting with colour, culture, and community pride! Staff stole the spotlight in the Best Dressed competition, with Ms Ivânia and Mr Valério dazzling us in their stunning capulana styles.

Students shone across fashion, performances, and cultural showcases. Grade 9 and Grade 1 stood out for not only looking amazing but also thoughtfully representing their countries with pride and creativity.
