Gaborone, 13th August 2019 – African international schools group Enko Education, operating 13 international schools in 7 African countries (Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Mali, Mozambique, Senegal, South Africa) has announced the launch of its 14th school and 1st in Botswana, Enko Botho Campus, opening in January 2020.

With this launch, Enko Education is going one step further in achieving its mission to increase access to high quality international education and to the world’s best universities for African students.

For this new launch, Enko Education has partnered with Botho Education, a sister company to Botho University, the highly reputable Botswana-based higher education institution operating in four African countries (Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini). “In Enko Education, we have found a partner who shares Botho’s vision for excellence and inclusive growth. The Enko Botho Campus in Gaborone immediately benefits from Enko Education’s wealth of experience, and the standards and practices already in place in the network.” shared Mr Ananth Ram, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Botho University.

Enko Botho Campus will offer rigorous, high-quality and worldwide accredited curricula in a 6-year programme for  students in Botswana. The school will combine two of the world’s most prestigious curricula, namely the Cambridge Assessment International Examination Programmes (Checkpoint and IGCSE) in Form 1 through Form 4, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in Forms 5 and 6.  Enko Botho will welcome its first batch of students on January 15, 2020 in Forms 1 to 3. Forms 4 to 6 will progressively open in 2021, 2022 and 2023. The school will benefit from Enko Education expertise in getting IB World School and Cambridge accreditations.

With a maximum of 24 students per classroom, the school will follow the Enko Education standards and practices in creating an optimal learning environment for its learners. Each learner will benefit from Enko Education’s unique careers and university admissions counselling programme which assists students with identifying appropriate leading universities, securing admissions, and financing their studies through scholarships.

“Enko graduates already study in the world’s best universities, such as Yale in the US, African Leadership University in Rwanda and the University of British Columbia in Canada amongst others.” stated Mr Eric Pignot, Founder and CEO of Enko Education. “We are looking forward to offering great opportunities to Batswana students. We are convinced that combining the spirit of excellence, leadership and innovation of the Botho Group and the international schools experience and standard of Enko Education will bring new positive opportunities to families in Botswana.” he added.

Located in Block 7, Gaborone, Enko Botho Campus already has one operational building and, by the end of 2020, the school will have a football field, a swimming pool, additional sports courts, additional laboratories and art rooms.
